Taittinger Demi Sec | Champagne Demi Sec | 12.5% | 75cl| 48,000.00
Description

The Taittinger family has managed Champagne Taittinger for almost a century. Champagne Taittingers origins date back to 1734. The Taittinger link was established in 1931 when Pierre Taittinger acquired the House. He was stationed at the Chateau de la Marquetterie when serving in the 1st World War and fell in love with the property and its vineyards and eventually purchased the company. Today, the Reims-based House is one of the few key Champagne houses to remain owned and actively managed by the family named on the label. Taittinger Demi Sec derives from the same type of blend as Taittinger Brut Reserve: it is made up of 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier. The finished blend includes over 40 crus from several different harvests, perfectly matured. The wine is left on yeast for three years before being disgorged.
